Well, 20 people and 10 teams participated in
the DP and several twosomes took turns sitting in the driver's seat.
But at the end of the day, it was Jake Panowicz and Andy Clark -- two guys who
spent the late 80s pounding the hills at Rose City as mediocre members of the
mediocre Central Catholic Rams golf team -- that finally teamed up to do what
they've wanted to do for years: Make Rose City Golf Course their bitch.
The pair extraordinaire shot a net 62, beating Tim Tyvand and Mark Uyeda by two
strokes.
Panowicz -- who is awkwardly not a tour member this season -- became the second
straight Jake to share the Dick Points title, and the first Jake to win without
cheating.
For his efforts, Clark -- who was one of two Andrews to play in this year's
event, and the only Andrew who didn't require hired goons to get him to pay up
-- took a huge lead in the overall standings in the race for the Tailgate State
Cup.
Overall, the DP was very tight with 8 strokes coming between the top and the
bottom.
